Why this site exists
RV electrical advice online is unusually bad. Specifications get copied between models that do not share them, lithium compatibility is asserted where no manufacturer claims it, and wire gauge and fuse sizing figures circulate with no source at all. Those are safety items, and people wire real coaches to them.
RV Power Geek covers exactly one subject, RV power, and cites the manual, the specification sheet, the install document, or the safety listing behind every electrical figure it publishes.
What we publish
Buying guidance and comparisons for converters, chargers, inverters, batteries, solar equipment, surge protectors and electrical management systems, generators, and wiring. Symptom-first troubleshooting for the failures that actually strand people. Explainers for the fundamentals. And deterministic calculators that show their assumptions instead of hiding them.
How we evaluate
Our evidence hierarchy, claim labelling, exact-model rule, and scoring rubric are all published in full on the methodology page. The short version: we research and cross-reference primary sources, we do not bench test, and we say which kind of claim you are reading.
Publisher
RV Power Geek is published by Mind Shift Inc., which operates a group of research-led product publications. Editorial decisions on this site are made independently of any manufacturer or retailer.
